After some delays the latest DNP3 secure authentication version 4 (SA4)  has been formally announced, and we've had confirmation that SA4 will provide backwards compatibility with existing WITS 1.1  devices using the earlier SA2 version.

This will allow the WITS team to begin implementation planning for the new security scenario. Timing will be announced shortly.
