About us

The WITS Protocol Standards Association

Ownership and maintenance of the Standard

The WITS Protocol Standards Association (PSA) provides for the long term maintenance and management of the WITS protocol and has its own independent elected committee drawn from members of the vendor and user communities.

The PSA has ownership of the Standard and has the responsibility to ensure that the long term maintenance of the Standard is secure in order to prevent it from becoming fragmented.

For an annual fee the members of the Association have rights to nominate and elect members of the committee, gain access to the Application Notes, information on standards, specifications etc.

Vendor members are able to achieve Self Certified or Verified status for their products and be entitled to have their products listed on the PSA website.

The membership fee funds a part time secretary/treasurer whose duties will include administering the new website, maintaining documentation and association funds.

PSA Details

A full description of the structure and operation of the Protocol Standards Association can be found in the WITS PSA Constitution
